‘playin’ berlin,’ a Documentary about Streetball in Berlin – Part 1 - 3

Spotlighting the burgeoning streetball scene in the German capital, the first part of the documentary by filmmaker Alex Smetana offers a rare glimpse into the community's individuals, as each member touches upon what initially attracted them to the sport.

the second part of the short feature talks to a few more members of the community and captures how the sport helped transform their lives. In addition, Part 2 tracks how children develop within the scene thanks to the help of Berlin’s experienced streetballers.

Supported by the Three Stripes, the concluding act takes place at the #hallofboost, held at Berlin Mitte’s legendary Palazzo Italia. In addition to a fierce tournament, attendees could drop by interactive booths, browse art based on the concept of streetball around the world, and enjoy the full-length documentary Doin’ It In The Park.
