The Burn Rubber x Fila x Mayor x Flüd "Doughboy" capsule is the recognition of the hustler. Being a hustler is a mindset. In the late 80's early 90's, the Fila Tennis low was the premium shoe of choice for D Boys in every hood in America. The duffle bag was their briefcase, a hoody & jogging pants was their suit of choice, & a snapback was their top hat.
As kids growing up in urban America, those are the guys we envied & aspired to be. For a lot of people, these were our fathers, uncles, & older brothers. The hustlers in the neighborhood are some of the first business men we admired. In this independent business world, things like loyalty, adaptability, & maneuverability are things that separates the men from the boys. As independent business owners we take the mindset of the hustler, the positives, and apply it to our lives while pushing away the negative aspect of the illegal lifestyle.
